From childhood, René Tebbel grew up with horses on his parents’ farm in Emsbüren and
discovered his passion for these four-legged animals early on. Trained and mentored by his
father, Josef Tebbel , he won medals at European Championships during his youth and
successfully represented Germany in Nations Cups. At the age of just 21, he was nominated for the 1990 World Equestrian Games in Stockholm. He returned
from his World Championship debut with a team silver medal.
