The Halle Münsterland was packed to the rafters on a Wednesday evening! We absolutely couldn’t miss it, so we wanted to be there again. We took two stallions to the stallion show as part of the K+K Cup. Our rider, Alexandre, presented the five-year-old Dia Corrado by Don Diarado and the eight-year-old Chacco’s Son II by Chacco-Blue, and both showed themselves beautifully – calm and collected, with scope and carefulness. It was a great preview of our own stallion show on February 16th in Vechta.
Justine is already competing in Neustadt/Dosse. She has brought three horses: Light Star, Flight of Ikarus (a son of For Pleasure), and Like About You (a seven-year-old son of Los Angeles).
For Maurice, the first highlight of the year is next week: the World Cup tournament in Leipzig. Don Diarado will of course be there, and he’ll probably take a youngster and maybe even a third horse with him.
Over the Christmas and New Year holidays, we did some light dressage work with the horses, and this week we took them out for a show jumping session. It’s always good preparation to jump them in a different arena or on a different course before a competition. We often go to Riesenbeck for this; it’s only a half-hour drive for us, and we have everything we need there.
2020 – practically already in full swing again…
