‘Days like these’ with stallions like these – our stallion presentation was an experience!

The Oldenburg Horse Center was packed. Many familiar breeders, with whom we’ve worked for years, were there, but there were also some new faces. Both familiar and newcomers created a fantastic atmosphere, gave us great feedback, and above all, celebrated the stallions. For three hours, our entire team and family were on hand to present our stallions.

We presented 23 stallions under saddle, including five dressage stallions. We’ve never had such a strong group of dressage stallions, both in terms of quality and quantity. Life Time, for example, the reserve champion of the 2019 Westphalian licensing – a premium stallion of exceptional quality, whose dressage predisposition is genetically well-established. He absolutely captivated our breeders at the stallion presentation with his graceful movement, balance, and expressiveness. Raven, also a premium stallion, was every bit as impressive as his stablemate and likewise demonstrated his exceptional movement – earning enthusiastic applause from the spectators. These are just two examples of an exclusive group.

We presented our show jumping stallions under saddle and at free jumping. Many breeders are already familiar with the stallions, such as Justine’s European Team Champion Light Star or Maurice’s World Championship bronze medalist, Don Diarado. The breeders applauded the ‘experienced heroes’ just as enthusiastically as their somewhat younger counterparts – For the Future and Sandro Junior, for example. Both of them have already completed their sport tests this year with outstanding scores and demonstrated their class once again at the stallion show. And one who never fails to impress me is Dia Corrado. This son of Don Diarado definitely has everything a top stallion needs, and he demonstrated exactly that to our guests at the stallion show.

For me, one of the most precious moments is being able to show some of the stallions’ offspring. We brought three yearlings and seven two-year-olds who wonderfully demonstrated what our stallions’ genes mean: high-quality performance blood.

Breeding means passion, faith, and hope, and when it all works out as hoped, it’s a wonderful success. On this special day, we honored 15 of our breeders with whom we have particularly successful partnerships. A huge thank you for their loyalty and honor where honor is due – nowhere is this truer than in horse breeding.

As in previous years, we chose a charity project to support with the stallion show in 2020. Therefore, we auctioned off a pony during the show and appealed for donations. In this way, we were able to donate more than €5,000 to the ‘Help for People with Traumatic Brain Injuries’ association in Emlichheim.

We opened our stud farm in 2012, starting with seven stallions. This year, we’ve reached a new peak, and on days like this, such as our stallion show last Sunday, everything becomes clear: the energy, the work, and the passion we put into the stud farm. The development of our breeding program, these first-class stallions, and above all, the enthusiasm and dedication of our breeders. It was a fantastic day! And now we’re looking forward to the upcoming breeding season more than ever.
