Chacco’s Son and Don Diarado have been Maurice’s top stallions in recent years, celebrating countless successes together and completing sensational rounds in the show jumping arena.
Chacco’s Son will retire from competition next year. “We will give this stallion a fitting send-off at our stallion show on February 19th; from then on, this exceptional sire will be available to our breeders via fresh semen,” explains René Tebbel.
With Chacco’s Son, Maurice was part of the German championship team for the first time at the 2017 European Championships. In the same year, and again the following year, Chacco’s Son and Maurice helped the German team to victory in the Nations Cup in Aachen. At the end of 2021, the Chacco Blue son once again demonstrated his top form at the Longines Global Champions Tour Final in Prague, placing with superb clear rounds. His seven-year-old son, Chacco’s Light, is already well on his way to following in his father’s footsteps – in Aachen and Samorin, for example, he demonstrated his jumping prowess with confident, faultless rounds. Chacco’s Light is one of numerous Chacco’s Son offspring making a name for themselves in show jumping and one of five licensed sons to date.
Don Diarado has now moved to the Elmgestüt Drei Eichen stud farm, owned by the Müter family. The stud farm’s new head rider, Harm Lahde, will now ride the successful stallion and present him at competitions before Don Diarado returns to Emsbüren after his sporting career.
“We are very grateful to the Müter couple for their support of Maurice and Don Diarado over the past years,” emphasizes René Tebbel. “Maurice has celebrated sensational successes with this stallion and conquered the very top of the show jumping world. There were many moments when I was very proud of them both.”
Don Diarado – top athlete and top stallion. Maurice Tebbel presented Don Diarado at his first tournament when he was just four years old, and the pair went from success to success until their participation in the Tokyo Olympics. They celebrated magnificent victories from Hamburg to Hagen, were part of winning Nations Cup teams, became German Vice Champions, delivered sensational clear rounds at the Global Champions League Final in Prague, and crowned 2018 with team bronze at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon.
After his sporting career, Don Diarado is returning to the Tebbel stallion station to pass on his valuable genes. Bred by Dirk Lohmann, this top sire already boasts several licensed sons, including the champion stallion of the 2018 OS licensing, Don Tryon, whose full brother also became a premium stallion a year later. This year, Don Diarado again sired the champion stallion, this time at the Redefin licensing.
