A Christmas tournament with family, a visit to the Christmas market, and then off to the Christmas break – Frankfurt has often been our year-end destination, and we did it again this year. It’s just perfect! The Christmas decorations in the Festhalle put you in the Christmas spirit, and the Christmas market in the city has its own special flair.

Maurice is competing with Don Diarado one last time in Frankfurt so that the break before the World Cup tournament in Leipzig isn’t too long. Everyone else has already begun the quiet period around the New Year. Every year in December and January, we slow things down a bit at home for four to six weeks. Of course, all the horses get turnout, but in a very relaxed way – on the lunge line, in the paddock, running free, or just gently under saddle. It’s also the time of year when our team all relaxes a bit.

Our main focus at the moment is on creating the new stallion catalog. It’s a real undertaking to gather top-quality photos of all the stallions, write the appropriate descriptions, ensure everything looks good, and proofread it countless times. But I think I can promise you: the catalog will be a very successful representation of our extensive stallion collection for the upcoming season.
